Carlos Reyes is now the Kansas City Royals’ Rehab Coordinator for 2008.
Reyes spent 2007 as the Charleston Riverdogs A ball club pitching coach (placing 2nd and 3rd in ERA), and two years previous as the Gulf Coast Yankees’ pitching coach. Under his direction in 2006, Yankees pitchers led all Gulf Coast League teams with 442 strikeouts and ranked second in ERA (2.92). Reyes made his coaching debut in 2005 (when his Yankees’ Rookie Ball team won the Championship and ranked first in ERA) after playing professional baseball for 14 years. During his career, Reyes appeared in 293 big league games, compiling 20 wins and a 4.66 career ERA.
